With 93% of millennial parents planning to celebrate Halloween this year, it is estimated that Americans will collectively spend up to $3bn on Halloween candy, signalling a bumper year for the confectionery sector. Sales are already looking up, with sales of chocolate and sweets up 48% on 2020 and 60% on 2019 (National Confectioners Association, 2021).
