A long product life and low environmental impact were championed by brands across the fair. Interestingly, this focus on sustainability also results in value for money for consumers, who benefit from repairable products and designs that can be adapted and added to over time to suit changing budgets, family configurations and homes.

Summary
Designs for Life | A long product life and low environmental impact were championed by brands across the fair. Interestingly, this focus on sustainability also results in value for money for consumers, who benefit from repairable products and designs that can be adapted and added to over time to suit changing budgets, family configurations and homes. |
The Flexible Home Evolves | Traditional boundaries between living areas are disappearing as floor plans continue to shrink, working from home has taken hold, and family life is busy and blended. Multifunctional, space-efficient and practical designs were prevalent across booths, aiming to ease life at home with clever solutions. |
Artistic Inspiration | In The Heartfelt Home, we explore how art, fashion and cultural heritage serve as powerful sources of inspiration for homes that positively influence the wellbeing of their inhabitants. The need for characterful design was validated across the fair, where many products had started life as a painting or were rooted in fashion and informed by traditional craft techniques. |
Design Disruptors | The dominance of Nordic brands meant innovation and sustainability were high on the agenda. Companies recognise the value stored in waste materials and incorporate ocean-bound plastic waste, industrial- and post-consumer waste in designs that don’t reveal a past life. Lightweight properties and fascinating technology also drove innovative product launches. |
