Fragrance Discovery Made Accessible
Published 08 February 2024
As we explore in Fragrance Category Projections 24-26, consumers are increasingly searching for cost-effective ways to try new fragrances without compromising on the premium aspect. Responding to this phenomenon, London-based Diem Scents markets luxury fragrance discovery that’s both accessible and exploratory.
The brand offers free discovery sets to enable all consumers to engage with fine fragrances while making luxury fragrance exploration less complicated with no confusing terminology or chaotic shopping environments. Customers can try five different perfumes, from the warm, spicy and woody notes of Catching Dusk to the fresh green scent of Off Piste and the zesty floral aroma of Lunar Bud. Alternatively, those who prefer a contradiction to their scent with a balance of earthy and fresh notes may choose Two Halves.
After taking time to understand their preferences and seeing how the scent develops over time on their skin, customers can select a full-size bottle for £40 ($51). Additionally, Diem will build a unique profile based on what an individual likes and share scents it thinks will appeal to them.
As we address in our Macro Trend Budget (Re)Valued report Beauty’s Thrifty Shift, smart brands are also providing consumers with little affordable indulgences, catering for the demand for inexpensive products that enhance everyday joy. Diem Scents does this by demonstrating how brands can take a typically premium product and create an entirely new experience by avoiding expensive mistaken choices and the idea that fine fragrance has to be a huge investment for a special occasion.
