The UAE Introduces Eco-Aligned Blue Residence Visa

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is committing to a more sustainable future with its new Blue Residence Visa, which will be awarded to individuals pursuing environmentally favourable projects both inside and outside the UAE.
Focused on environmental protection and sustainability-driven initiatives, the 10-year residency programme enables people working in various eco-aligned areas to make their home in the UAE for a decade. Fields include marine and land conservation, air quality management, sustainability technologies and the circular economy, reports Indian business website Financial Express.
The innovative programme, which forms part of the UAE’s Year of Sustainability, will effectively make it easier for the country to attract top scientists, biologists, researchers and environmentalists, in turn increasing its ability to carve out a prosperous future for its young scientific minds.
