American superstar Beyoncé has revealed her new science-backed haircare line Cécred, honouring mindful hair rituals across the world. Drawing on her mother’s hair knowledge and teachings, the brand’s emphasis on advanced scientific innovation and health-driven high-performance products dispels hair myths, while providing access to proven ingredients for all hair types and textures.

The initial range, dubbed the Foundation Collection, features seven products with a patent-pending bio-fermented keratin technology focused on repairing, moisturising and strengthening hair. Included are clarifying and hydrating shampoos, rich conditioners, rejuvenating masks, nourishing oils and a Fermented Rice & Rose Protein Ritual treatment. Each product is scented with temple oud – a subtle blend of Australian sandalwood, musk, and night-blooming jasmine.

Enhanced through the power of fermentation, Cécred’s hair repair technology closely matches and replaces depleted proteins in human hair. Its bioactive keratin ferment is ethically sourced natural wool protein, which delivers deep protein infusion, while the use of lactobacillus ferment prebiotic supports a healthy scalp. Honey is also added for its nutrient-rich nectar which serves as a humectant, activates the fermentation, and provides essential hydration.

“I want everyone to have the freedom to express their hair in ways that make them feel good, so I began by creating the essentials for hair and scalp health,” said Beyoncé. “My vision is to be an inclusive force of excellence in the haircare industry while celebrating hair rituals across global cultures and helping dispel hair myths and misconceptions on all sides.”

Beyond its product offering, the Cécred x BeyGOOD fund was created to honour Beyoncé’s family roots in the hair salon industry, celebrating the influence professional stylists have on hair health, and highlighting the importance of advocating for the salon community. An annual $500,000 will fund cosmetology school scholarships and salon business grants across five cities chosen for their diverse community of hair stylists.
