Copenhagen-based designer David Thulstrup’s desk is lined with a protected leather that resembles the handle of nubuck and the look of neoprene. The new Kata chair from Italian brand Arper features a form-fitted 3D-knitted cover with built-in micro padding to reduce the bulk, textile waste and toxic foams of conventional upholstery. Spanish start-up Honext binds waste cellulose fibres from paper mills with natural enzymes to create a sustainable alternative to MDF that is endlessly recyclable and toxin-free.
