Whether promising to give consumers more playful lives or to optimise their health and wellbeing, artificial intelligence (AI) was everywhere in the products debuting at CES 2026. The best launches offered an opportunity to smile and relax – be it cute desktop robots that respond to interactions, or wearables that provide tangible suggestions to reduce stress.
While countless CES exhibitors showcased humanoid robots promising to automate household chores (see CES 2026: Home Electronics), other brands deployed AI and robotics for individual, more playful purposes. From whimsical desktop robots to cute anthropomorphic AI avatars, these products exhibit tech’s potential to upgrade leisure pursuits (in lieu of hyper-efficiency).

As noted in 10 Tech Trends 2025, the promise of increased productivity is fuelling interest in AI. This was evident on the CES showfloor, where exhibitors leveraged AI to add an efficiency boost to earbuds, smart rings and glasses. From visual to audio interfaces, these devices aim to make AI accessible wherever one may be.
Digital health tools are a perennial focus at CES, but 2026 saw a proliferation of tools designed to monitor softer wellbeing metrics, like mental stress and cognitive load. Meanwhile, forward-thinking biometric-harvesting wearables opt for new formats, such as screen-free sensors that attach to clothing for an unobtrusive look.
From accessibility-minded wearables to the commercialisation of exoskeletons, accessible tech at CES 2026 was ubiquitous and diverse. While some devices target the needs of individuals with specific disabilities, others are presented as universal solutions that can help people with or without disabilities.
