To celebrate the unveiling of its new White Truffle Menu, US fast-food chain Shake Shack launched The Truffle Table, a limited-edition fine-dining experience (February 27 to March 2). Offering levelled-up hospitality in a casual setting, diners could make a reservation for two at 10 participating outlets across the US.

Complete with table service, the premiumised offering boasted luxurious white tablecloths, fine china tableware, and a fixed-price tasting menu ($20 per person).

Crafted with US speciality food importer Regalis’ organic white truffle oil, the menu featured a cheeseburger with crispy sweet onions and a cheese-filled portobello mushroom burger, both encased in a toasted potato bun and generously topped with a decadent white truffle sauce. They were served alongside parmesan-sprinkled crinkle-cut fries with a white truffle dip.

The experience also included a milkshake of choice and unlimited soft drinks and canned wine by New York City’s Gotham Winery. At the end of the meal, diners were gifted a bottle of Regalis truffle oil, as well as a chocolate truffle created by New York-based luxury chocolatier Thierry Atlan.

With consumers currently cutting back on restaurant visits to combat the cost-of-living crisis, Shake Shack’s premiumised experience facilitated a more affordable moment of indulgence. Meanwhile, its new White Truffle Menu offers luxurious flavours at an accessible price point.
