Available in two signature scents – Cotton Grove and Verde Rise – the Reset Spray acts as an odour neutraliser and wrinkle relaxer while using bio-based ingredients – including gentle surfactants, starch molecules, amino acids and plant-derived polymers – to eliminate everyday build-up caused by sweat, bacteria and body oils. Users lightly mist their garments with the spray and then smooth out any wrinkles with their hands. According to WashWise’s consumer panel study, after using Reset on lightly worn garments, 95% of consumers said they’d rewear their garment, 98% felt comfortable skipping a wash, and 95% would use the spray in place of dry cleaning.
Portable consumer electronics are also providing a quick solution for on-body crease removal and touch-ups. The Elide dewrinkler concept by graduate designer Safaa Fojdar (UK) allows users to smooth out clothing while wearing it. Featuring a vacuum-style nozzle, the cordless device funnels warm air – at a maximum temperature of 45°C – onto clothing while using gentle suction to remove light creases. It comes with a refillable spray bottle for dampening fabrics to enhance smoothing. Meanwhile, a hot-plate attachment allows Elide to be used as a compact iron for removing deeper wrinkles.
Other product innovations designed to refresh or air out clothes after light wear – including the Laundry Chair by Swedish inventor Simone Giertz, the Rewear Chair by Ecover (Belgium) and Uncommon Creative Studio (UK), and the L’Eaundry fine fragrance mist by UK-based brand Unworn – aim to encourage more mindful and sustainable garment care habits.
