Three technologies are converging to remake mobility: electric vehicles (EVs), autonomous vehicles (AVs) and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. New EVs are trouncing range anxiety, AVs are now commercially available for millions, and eVTOL aircraft are achieving regulatory clearance. We explore how brands are building excitement for – and trust in – tomorrow’s transport options.
Self-driving cars are becoming a practical transit option. Robotaxis lead the industry, with successful commercial rollouts already happening in the US, China and, increasingly, across Europe and the Middle East. In the US alone, robotaxis’ market share is set to grow by 90% annually between 2025 and 2030 (Goldman Sachs, 2025).

EVTOL aircraft could condense traffic-choked commutes into quick trips. Thanks to these vehicles’ quiet propellers and compact vertical take-off, their proponents position them as an ideal solution for urban transport. Commercialisation is moving apace: the US, China and the European Union have all adopted certification schemes to get eVTOL craft in the air by 2030.
EVs are at a crossroads. Sales have slowed, while countries and companies are pausing plans to go fully electric. Nevertheless, EV sales are still rising and forecast to grow. Forward-thinking brands are designing batteries that vastly increase EVs’ range, as well as innovating new vehicle styles that reimagine a car’s core functions.
