At Luxe Pack New York (May 6-7), manufacturers and brands (mostly in the beauty sector) highlighted evolved approaches to designing and selling refills, concepts that advance efficiency and ease of use (tech-integrated packaging was a highlight), and steady progress towards more eco-friendly (and regulation-compliant) materials.
While many early refill/reuse experiments proved “naïve and silly”, as pointed out by one Luxe Pack speaker, current concepts are gaining traction with consumers (spurred largely by value propositions) and a growing crop of brands (prompted by regulation).
