  • Eight Sleep (US): Smart mattress brand Eight Sleep’s new (May 2026-released) Pregnancy Mode adjusts the mattress’s temperature, elevation and wake-up alarms during pregnancy. As physiology changes across each trimester, Eight Sleep uses AI (artificial intelligence) to adapt to rising body temperature and disrupted sleep (like snoring). Pregnancy Mode also tracks pregnancy‑specific metrics, such as resting heart rate, breathing rate, sleep stages and snoring, helping users contextualise changes against their pre‑pregnancy baseline and better understand how their physiology evolves over time.

  • MoleSense (Switzerland): Medtech start-up MoleSense is developing a discreet stick‑on wearable that analyses hormones and inflammation markers through sweat, enabling continuous non‑invasive monitoring for high‑risk pregnancies. By tracking hormonal fluctuations, the device aims to surface early warning signs linked to complications like preterm birth.

  • Nuvo (US): Medtech start-up Nuvo’s Invu is a hospital‑grade wearable foetal tracker designed for remote pregnancy monitoring. Worn around the abdomen, the device tracks foetal heart rate and maternal contractions, sharing data with clinicians in real time. Invu was designed as a response to maternity care deserts (areas with severely limited access to maternal care) in the US: two million American women of childbearing age live in such areas (eBioMedicine, 2025). It can be prescribed by clinicians on a flexible leasing model, extending specialist oversight to those with high-risk pregnancies and limited access to in‑person prenatal care.
