  • MyWonder: Indian start-up MyWonder has introduced a cube-shaped, screen-free, AI-fuelled learning companion with a friendly face. It helps kids build daily habits, like brushing their teeth and drinking water, while integrating learning through stories, quizzes and games. AI powers age-appropriate conversations that evolve as the child grows. To activate MyWonder, kids tap on one of three plastic playing cards (listening, talking or playing) – this ensures the device isn’t constantly on or listening. Parents can monitor their children’s activity through a companion app that summarises what they’ve learned.

  • Nodi Flip: German start-up Nodi Kids has created the Nodi Flip: an audio-based learning device for five- to 12-year-olds. It plays Spotify audio, podcasts, radio plays and curated lessons, all pre-approved by parents. The device also allows children to exchange voice messages with a curated contact list, offering a safer alternative to smartphones.

  • TeenieWins: Chinese toymaker Lesong’s TeenieWins is a talking flash card reader that supports early language development. Kids insert cards to hear a word’s correct pronunciation, helping to improve their vocabulary and speech fluency. Developed with speech and occupational therapists, TeenieWins is already being used in pilot programmes for neurodivergent children and those in speech therapy.
