British weight management brand Slimming World is targeting time-pressed consumers seeking convenient and nutritionally balanced meals with its innovative recipe box subscription service, featuring 200 tasty recipes. Designed by Slimming World Kitchen, the menu includes vegetarian and vegan options as well as globally inspired meals.

Subscribers can choose three to five meals per week for their customisable recipe box – and receive all the fresh ingredients needed to assemble them. Developed by chefs and nutritionists, dishes cater for a wide range of taste and flavour preferences. These include Golden Aloo Gobi Traybake with Chickpeas, Veggie Jambalaya, and Steak Stroganoff with Rice & Sautéed Kale.

Deliveries start this month, and all recipes fit into Slimming World’s Food Optimising eating plan. Kits cost £10 ($12.75) per meal for two, and subscribers don’t need to be a Slimming World member to access the meal kit service.

This is a brave initiative for the brand, targeting often overwhelmed and choice-saturated consumers. However, the convenient nature of the service is sure to win fans willing to give it a try. Likewise, consumers’ ongoing obsession with accessible weight management tools and systems will help to propel this offering forward.
