Emily sets the editorial direction for the Consumer Product directories at Stylus, managing a team that uncovers emerging trends, tracks nascent innovations, and produces commercial insights across Beauty, Colour & Materials, Fashion, and Product Design.
Emily leads Stylus’s fashion content, with additional expertise in home and colour & materials. Her forecasting skillset is fine-tuned thanks to a career spanning more than 30 years. During her tenure in the world of trends, Emily has worked in consultancy as well as directly for brands and retailers, including H&M Group, Inditex Group, Target, Bestseller Group, Walt Disney, and Warner Brothers. She has also written for the likes of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and i-D Magazine, and contributed to various published books on the history of art, design, and popular culture.
Emily's passion lies in helping brands and manufacturers create beautiful products that meet ever-changing consumer lifestyles and needs. She’s especially keen on ensuring sustainability and ethical concerns are also met in that process, and keeping ahead of the curve when it comes to new, underrepresented and diverse talent – an area she is confident Stylus can make a big difference in.
